Singapore Sling

The word "sling" in North America traditionally refers to a drink made with alcohol, flavoring (such as fruit juice), and water. Because of this, there's no main recipe for a Singapore Sling. The recipe listed here is just one take on it, but feel free to explore further combinations of flavors! Such variations can include using pineapple or lime juice instead of lemon juice or garnishing with fresh pineapple instead of a lemon twist.
This cocktail was originally created in a Singapore hotel by bartender named Ngiam Tong Boon and was called the "gin sling" around 1915. Through the years, the interpretation of the Singapore Sling has changed. Depending on where you are, or if you don't specify your preferred recipe, the drink is a completely different style each time.

1. This version of a Singapore Sling is made by first adding all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice

2. Give it a good shake and strain the mix into a chilled hurricane or highball glass (type of glass is completely up to you)

3. Garnish with a lemdon twist and maraschino cherry and enjoy!
